Introduction

Neenah Baseball Athletics, Inc. (NBAI), incorporated in January 2005, is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization which sponsors summer baseball opportunities for Neenah area youth ages 13-16. In addition to the athletic competition and training opportunities afforded, NBAI focuses on sportsmanship, character, skills, knowledge, and community service. NBAI has no paid employees and depends on volunteers for operations.  Funding of NBAI is by player registration fees, team sponsorships (and donations) by local businesses as well as matching corporate funding such as the Kimberly-Clark Partners Program.

How can you help your Ball Player have a Great Season? 

  Attend a board meeting:

Board Meetings  First  Wednesday of the month, at 6:15 PM in the Community room of the Neenah Police Dept. Visitors should contact any board member 24 hours prior to any scheduled board meeting to confirm meeting time and location.  Board meetings are not regularly scheduled from June through August.

Our Wednesday, May 06th meeting will be moved to the Carpenter Room (2nd floor) of the Neenah Public Library due to a conflict with use of the Community Room at the PD that evening.

Baseball Info

The league draft for Pony League players will take place as follows: 

When: Sunday, April 5, 5:00- 8:00 PM

Where: St. Mary Central High School gymnasium

Players need to wear tennis shoes and clothing appropriate for baseball activities.  If the weather is nice and fields are not soaked, part of the tryout may be held outside.  Please bring a baseball glove in addition to a bat, helmet, or other gear and be ready to show your baseball skills.

 The draft will be conducted within the next few days after tryouts and players will be contacted by their coaches.  For players unable to make the tryout, hat picks or a similar method will be used to place players on teams.

 

Pony League - 13 year olds

         Bat Size - is maximum 8.5 differential no lighter. Bat diameter at its thickest point should be at least 2-5/8" and not greater then 2-3/4

Senior League - 14-15 year olds

A bat can weigh a minimum of 3 ounces less than the length of the bat.  A 30 inch bat must not be lighter than 27 ounces.  (-3).     (-5) is allowed for 14's only.  The barrel of the bat cannot exceed 2 5/8  inches in diameter. 

The League will allow a 2 3/4 inches in diameter bat if already purchased for 14's only, but encourages a 2 5/8  inches in diameter bat. 

The -3 bat is allowed all throughout High School.

If you have any questions regarding bat sizes, ask your Coach.
